Academics at OCA

Oasis Christian Academy provides a challenging, Christ-centered educational program that supports the development of the whole student. From Early Education through 12th grade, students learn in structured classroom environments where teachers seek to know their students, recognize individual strengths and needs, and provide appropriate support and challenge throughout the learning process.

Our goal is not simply to prepare students for the next grade level. We seek to develop knowledgeable, curious, responsible learners who can think critically, communicate effectively, solve problems, collaborate with others, and approach the world through a Biblical worldview.

Faith & Learning

At OCA, faith is not limited to Bible class or chapel—it is foundational to the entire educational experience. Biblical truth is intentionally integrated throughout academics, relationships, activities, and campus life as students learn to understand God's Word and apply it to the world around them.

Bible instruction, weekly chapel, prayer, and opportunities for spiritual growth help students deepen their understanding of Scripture and encourage them to put their faith into action through their relationships, choices, leadership, and service to others.

Learning Beyond the Core

A well-rounded education extends beyond traditional core academic subjects. Throughout their years at OCA, students have opportunities to explore and develop their interests and God-given abilities through areas such as fine arts, physical education, technology, digital literacy, foreign language, electives, athletics, leadership, service, and other grade-appropriate enrichment experiences.

As students progress through middle and high school, they are given increasing opportunities to explore their interests, develop practical skills, and consider the educational and career pathways available to them after graduation.

At the high school level, students receive academic and college-and-career guidance designed to help them understand graduation requirements, evaluate postsecondary opportunities, and make informed decisions about life beyond OCA.

Curriculum Philosophy

Oasis Christian Academy's curriculum is designed to provide strong academic preparation within a distinctly Christian worldview. We believe academic and spiritual development should work together as students grow intellectually, spiritually, physically, and socially.

Our program of study extends from Early Education through high school graduation and includes instruction in the core academic disciplines of the Bible, English Language Arts and Literature, mathematics, science, and social studies, complemented by opportunities in fine arts, physical education, technology, foreign language, electives, and other areas of student development.

OCA teachers create engaging learning environments that provide students with appropriate support, challenge, and personal attention. Our classroom settings allow teachers to build meaningful relationships with students, recognize individual strengths and areas for growth, and encourage students to take increasing responsibility for their learning.

We believe education should prepare students not simply to complete school, but to continue learning throughout their lives. Students are encouraged to think critically, communicate effectively, develop their God-given abilities, serve others, and pursue excellence in whatever path God places before them.

Preparing Students for What Comes Next

We recognize that God's plan for every graduate may look different. For some students, the next step will be a college or university. For others, it may be technical or career training, military service, ministry, or direct entry into the workforce.

Our responsibility is to help students understand their opportunities, identify their strengths and interests, and prepare academically, spiritually, and personally for the path ahead.

Ultimately, we want OCA graduates to leave prepared not only for their next educational or career opportunity, but also to live with faith, character, wisdom, and purpose as they impact the world for Christ.
