Theatre at Oasis Christian Academy provides students with opportunities to develop creativity, confidence, communication skills, and collaboration while experiencing the excitement of bringing a production to life.

Middle School students may participate in Theatre electives where they are introduced to various forms of drama, acting techniques, character development, stage presence, and the fundamentals of performance.

High School students have opportunities to build upon those skills while exploring both the performance and production sides of theatre. Depending upon the production and course, students may gain experience in areas such as acting, directing, set and prop development, costumes, technical production, stage management, and other behind-the-scenes responsibilities.

Throughout the Theatre program, students learn the importance of preparation, discipline, teamwork, creativity, perseverance, and attention to detail. Whether performing on stage or contributing behind the scenes, every student plays an important role in creating a successful production.

Students may have opportunities to participate in theatrical productions and performances throughout the school year, providing them with the experience of sharing their hard work and creativity with the OCA community.

As part of OCA's Fine Arts program, Theatre encourages students to develop their God-given abilities, pursue excellence, support one another, and use their creativity in ways that honor Christ.
