12th Grade
Overview
In their final year high school, our Seniors culminate their high school career by focusing on required courses, bolstering any potential academic weak spots, and using our elective academies to consider potential career paths- whatever the Lord might call them to in order to impact the world for Him- whether that means college, military, vocational school, or employment.

Bible
Seniors utilize the Biblical Worldviews curriculum provided by Bob Jones curriculum to examine the sciences, the arts, government, gender, and history through a biblical lens to make a positive and distinctly Christian contribution to wherever and whatever the Lord calls them.

English
In twelfth grade, students focus on culminating what has been learned in previous grades to write college-ready academic papers; they also review the literary concepts learned prior to understand how an author's choices in wording and structure impact the meaning, tone, and style of the text.

Math
Seniors that take Intermediate algebra concentrate on operations with real numbers, graphs of functions, domain and range of functions, linear equations and inequalities, quadratic equations with an  emphasis on problem-solving.

Science
Through the study of anatomy, seniors develop a knowledge of the biological systems in the human body, their intricacies, and their interrelationships to each other.  In advanced biology, students will form connections between different concepts in biology as well as formulate a hypothesis to address a scientific problem, test for a hypothesis, and logically analyze the results of experiments.

Government & Economics
In Government, students are prepared to be informed and empowered citizens with a biblical perspective of our government. They also study the complexity of our system of government through examination of foundational primary sources.  In economics, students are introduced to key principles of economics from daily purchases to the stock market and its complexities.  They specifically focus on budgeting, banking, debt, credit, interest, and bigger issues that relate to the national economic systems and its policies.

By the end of 12th grade, students will:

Bible

  • Understand how an author's choices in wording and structure impact the meaning, tone, and style of the text
  • Employ communication skills and engage in discussion in an analytical and creative manner

  • Calculate lengths, areas, and volumes of two- and three- dimensional figures
  • Investigate, describe, and apply the characteristics of various transformations
  • Apply trigonometric ratios to find unknown measures of triangles
Advanced Biology
  • Formulate a hypothesis to address a scientific problem
  • Design a test for a hypothesis
  • Logically and mathematically analyze the results of experiments
  • Form connections between different concepts in biology
