Academics

Academics

Oasis Christian Academy takes pride in providing a challenging educational program that supports the growth and development of the whole student. From K3 through 12th grade, students participate in a traditional classroom setting that is differentiated for each learner.

As a faith community, we teach, value, and embrace the tenets of our Christian faith while encouraging students to live the Gospel message. Daily Bible classes, weekly chapels, and school-wide prayer experiences provide the foundation for our faith journey.

Enrichment opportunities are provided throughout our academy.  Elementary students participate weekly in PE, computer, library, music, and art (in addition to chapel).  Middle school students participate in PE multiple times a week, utilize our iPads regularly in the classroom, and also participate weekly in digital literacy and drama electives.  High school students have multiple elective academies to choose from to begin exploring post-high school educational options and careers.  Our school Guidance Program helps students and their families meet everyday challenges by providing them with life skills and community-building experiences. Starting in the fall of freshman year students meet regularly with our guidance counselor to ensure they remain on course for life after OCA ready to impact the world for Christ.

Curriculum Philosophy

The curriculum of Oasis Christian Academy is structured to foster strong academic preparation, and the spiritual development necessary to train children for life as Christians. Students are encouraged to put their faith in action through local school-sponsored programs.

We offer a program of study from early education through senior graduation, which includes our curriculum of core subjects –Bible, Literature & Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies – while integrating the special subject areas of art, music, physical education, technology & digital literacy, library, and foreign language.

Our smaller classroom settings are beneficial to maximize each student's potential, allowing us to develop the spiritual, intellectual, physical, and social skills on a one-on-one basis.  OCA strives to provide a personalized, lifelong learning system that cultivates the potential in each student to impact their communities beyond OCA.

Finally, we are proud to state that the majority of our graduates are accepted into the college or university of their choice; some prefer to head straight into the career of their choice or the military.  Our job is to utilize best practices to make sure students know their options and choose a course of action that best suits their individual needs and calling.
